Description: The big blue and white Statesman Journal sign has come down at 340 Vista Ave. NE, but the newsroom continues operating from there.

The newspaper relocated to the South Salem building in 2017 after vacating its longtime downtown location.

The Statesman Journal signage joined the sign for the Modern Nose Clinic on the west-facing portion of the building.

The clinic, Mid-Valley Construction Company, All-Star Direct Primary Care and Modern Sleep Solution are other tenants at the location.

The building at 340 Vista Avenue SE after the sign was taken down Wednesday.

Previously, the newsroom, offices and advertising staff occupied both the third and fourth floors. But in 2022, due to restructuring and an increase in remote work, the company condensed to just occupying the majority of the fourth floor.

The Statesman Journal sign is being replaced by a sign for Hagan Hamilton Insurance Solutions, a new tenant at the building. The longtime, family-owned independent insurance agency also has offices in McMinnville, Newberg, Sheridan, St. Helens and Junction City.
