Western Oregon's 2023 football signings, including Mid-Valley players

Western Oregon’s football program welcomed a class of new recruits Wednesday, including multiple players from the Mid-Valley. 

The Wolves signings included linebacker Casen Collins from Sprague, offensive lineman Ethan Hedgecock from Dayton, and tight end Jackson Walsh from Cascade. 

As of 5 p.m., Western Oregon had signed 33 recruits. 

The Wolves signed 20 offensive players, 12 defensive players and one athlete. 

Western Oregon signed one quarterback — Jakeb Vallance, who is 6-foot-3 and 200 pounds, from Cheney, Washington. 

Collins helped the Olympians go 6-5 and reach the second round of the OSAA Class 6A Columbia Cup playoffs in the fall.
