Anthony Gould provided a spark Saturday, as Oregon State got back on track with a 38-10 win against California.
Gould returned a punt 55 yards for a touchdown in the second quarter to give the Beavers a 21-0 lead.
It was the second punt return touchdown of the season for Gould, who also had two catches for 49 yards.
Oregon State dominated from start to finish, winning the total offense battle 362 yards to 160.
Oregon State rushed for 166 yards, with Damien Martinez leading with 105.
Ben Gulbranson had an efficient game, completing 15 of 23 passes for just 137 yards, and two touchdowns. He also rushed for a touchdown.
Tre’Shaun Harrison had eight catches for 79 yards and a touchdown.
It was a solid win for the Beavers, who improve to 7-3 overall and 4-3 in the Pac-12.
Oregon State’s only losses have been to No. 8 USC, No. 13 Utah and No. 24 Washington.
The Beavers have two regular season games (Arizona State and Oregon) and a bowl game left to try to win their eighth game of the season, which would be an improvement over last season.
It would be the most since 2012, when Oregon State went 9-4 under head coach Mike Riley.
The way the defense and special teams are playing, and with the efficiency of the offense, eight wins seem likely.
