
The OSAA basketball season comes to a close Saturday with the championship and placement games for Classes 6A and 4A.
The Mid-Valley has two teams playing — the West Salem girls in the 6A fourth-place game at Chiles Center in Portland, and the Cascade boys in the 4A championship game in Forest Grove.
Here is a look at Saturday’s statewide scores.
CLASS 6A — WILLAMETTE 60, WEST SALEM 45
West Salem’s girls basketball team is bringing some hardware back from the state tournament.
The Titans lost 60-45 in the 6A fourth-place game Saturday, but are coming home having placed sixth in the state.
Lizzy Bennett had 16 points and seven rebounds for West Salem, and Madelyn Diaz had 14 points.
