In honor of Transgender Day of Remembrance, the Salem Public Library will host an event on Sunday with the Salem Human Rights Commission.

The event will be hosted in Loucks Auditorium from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the library. The Salem Human Rights Commission LGBTQIA+ Intersectional Rights Task Force will be streaming the event on YouTube as well to honor those who were killed in the past year due to anti-transgender violence.

The library also has books and movies for checkout at the main branch and West Salem branch that focus on LGBTQ topics.

For additional information about the event, call 503-540-2371 or email humanrights@cityofsalem.net.
