Salem Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a pickup truck they believe struck a 66-year-old woman who later died from her injuries on Sunnyview Road in Northeast Salem early Wednesday.
Traffic investigators are looking for a dark blue 1998 Chevy 1500 pickup truck with an extended cab and Oregon license plate 604 FWD, Salem Police said Saturday morning.
Police said there is damage to the headlight on the driver’s side.
Police are asking anyone who has information on where the truck might be to call the Salem Police Department at 503-588-6123, and refer to case number 22-2177.
People shouldn’t attempt to make contact with anyone in the truck and should call police instead.
The pedestrian, whom police identified as Cynthia Lynn Perry Rizzo, of Keizer, died Thursday from her injuries. She was found just after 5 a.m. in the road and transported to Salem Health with life-threatening injuries.
Police say the driver continued east on Sunnyview from Lancaster Drive after hitting the woman.
