Silverton’s boys and girls swim teams each placed in the top-10 Saturday at the OSAA Class 5A state championships at Tualatin Hills Aquatic Center in Beaverton.
The Foxes’ boys team placed eighth with 12 points. Summit won the state title with 69 points.
For Silverton’s boys, Nolan Horner placed fourth in the 50 freestyle and 100 freestyle, and he helped the 200 freestyle relay team place fifth and the 200 medley relay team place sixth.
On the girls side, the Foxes’ Catherine Hyde placed third in the 100 freestyle.
