Oregon State is rolling, and now they’ll get a break with an off week.

The Beavers dominated Colorado 42-9 Saturday to win their third game in a row and improve to 6-2 this season.

With its sixth victory, Oregon State now is bowl eligible for the second season in a row.

It’s another example of how far the Beavers have come under head coach Jonathan Smith. From 2014 to 2020 OSU did not make it to a bowl game.

Oregon State quarterback Ben Gulbranson (17) pitches the ball during the first quarter against Colorado at Reser Stadium in Corvallis, Ore. on Saturday, Oct. 22, 2022.

It’s also the Beavers’ first 6-2 start since 2013, when they were coached by Mike Riley. That 2013 team had a rough finish to the season, ending up 7-6.

Oregon State is hoping for a better finish this season after a bye week.

The Beavers looked strong on both sides of the ball against Colorado.

Oregon State Ben Gulbranson completed 14 of 22 passes for 202 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions.  Gulbranson, making his third straight start in place of the injured Chance Nolan, continues to look better as he gets more snaps.
