Oregon keeps winning and keeps gaining ground in the national polls.
The Ducks recorded their fourth straight victory Saturday night, blasting Stanford 45-27 under the lights at Autzen Stadium.
Oregon (4-1) opened the season at No. 11 in the AP poll but dropped out of the rankings after a week-one loss to Georgia. One month later, the Ducks are nearly back in the top 10 thanks to four straight impressive wins against Eastern Washington (70-14), then-No. 12 BYU (41-20), Washington State (44-41) and the Cardinal.
Amid the winning streak, the Ducks lead the Pac-12 and are third nationally with an average of 50 points per game.
The only one-loss team ahead of Oregon in the rankings is fellow Pac-12 member Utah (4-1) at No. 11.
Also ranked from the conference are No. 6 Southern California, No. 18 UCLA and No. 21 Washington. Georgia dropped from No. 1 to No. 2 as Alabama moved back into the top spot, and BYU moved up three spots to No. 16.
In the USA TODAY poll, the Ducks returned to their No. 12 preseason ranking. They’re also one spot behind No. 11 Utah, with No. 6 USC, No. 19 UCLA and No. 24 Washington also ranked.
The coaches also dropped Georgia to No. 2 in favor of Alabama, and No. 16 BYU moved up four spots.
