A 51-year-old woman from Lincoln City died in a single car crash near Grand Ronde on Saturday, according to Oregon State Police.
Police responded to reports of a single-vehicle collision at around 5:56 p.m.
OSP said an initial investigation determined Brandy Terry was driving west on Highway 18 just past the Tillamook-Polk County line near Pheasant Creek in Polk County when her vehicle failed to negotiate a curve. The car veered off the highway and struck a tree.
Terry was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. No one else was in the car.
Speed is being investigated as a factor to the crash, OSP said.
