A winning $1 million ticket that matched five of the six winning numbers in Tuesday's drawing was sold in Eugene on Monday.

The winning $1 million Mega Millions ticket sold in Eugene was claimed on Wednesday.

The winner, Zehao C., purchased the ticket at Jacksons Food Store at 274 Coburg Road in Eugene on Monday. His ticket matched five of the six winning numbers in Tuesday’s drawing.

The Mega Millions jackpot for Friday’s drawing has climbed to $1.35 billion, the second-largest Mega Millions jackpot in history. The largest Mega Millions prize won in Oregon was $3 million in 2019 when two players won separately.

The owner of the Eugene retailer will receive a $10,000 bonus for selling a winning ticket, according to the Oregon Lottery.
