The Beavers also took advantage of a punting blunder and questionable 4th-down call by Oregon to pull off the upset.

This is Oregon State’s third win against Oregon in the past seven meetings, including three out of four at Reser Stadium.

The Beavers will have to wait a week to find out officially which bowl game they get.

Fans storm the field after the No. 9 Oregon Ducks fell to the No. 21 Oregon State Beavers at Reser Stadium in Corvallis, Ore. Saturday, Nov. 26, 2022.

The Beavers will be looking for their first bowl victory since beating Boise State in the 2013 Hawaii Bowl.

Oregon State won despite having 142 fewer yards of total offense than Oregon, and despite losing the turnover battle 3-0.

Quarterback Ben Gulbranson had his worst passing game as a starter — 6 of 13 for 60 yards and two interceptions. He did rush for two touchdowns.

Gulbranson will have time to get that cleaned up before the bowl game.

Damien Martinez rushed for 103 yards, and Isaiah Newell had two touchdowns on the ground for the Beavers.

Oregon State lost this season to No. 5 USC, No. 14 Utah and No. 12 Washington, and the losses to the Trojans and Huskies were by three points each.

But now Oregon State has a signature win on its resume by beating No. 10 Oregon.

The Beavers also have bragging rights for the next year.
