Oregon State Beavers linebacker Jack Colletto (12) is congratulated by offensive lineman Brandon Kipper (68) after scoring a touchdown against the Stanford Cardinal during the second quarter at Stanford Stadium on Oct. 8, 2022.

Oregon State is 6-3 this season, with three regular season games left.

Now is a good time to look at possible bowl game scenarios for the Beavers, who host California at 6 p.m. Saturday on the Pac-12 Network.

The Pac-12’s primary bowl tie-ins are the Rose Bowl, Alamo Bowl, Las Vegas Bowl, Holiday Bowl, Sun Bowl and Los Angeles Bowl.

The College Football Playoff and New Year’s Six Bowls could factor in as well, if they select a Pac-12 team.

Oregon State is 3-3 in the conference, behind Oregon (6-0), USC (6-1), UCLA (5-1), Utah (5-1) and Washington (4-2).

If that holds, the Beavers likely would return to the Los Angeles Bowl, unless multiple teams above them make it to a New Year’s Six Bowl, in which case they could potentially go to the Sun Bowl or Holiday Bowl.

If the Beavers can improve their standing at all, which could happen, considering they have two losing teams among their three remaining games — Cal (3-6) and Arizona State (3-6) — then they might get one of the better bowls.
